Macs can read and write PC-formatted Zip disks.

You can hook up the two computers via Ethernet (using either a crossover cable, or two regular cables and a hub), and use various types of software to transfer files. For more on networking Macs and PC, see two useful web sites: http://www.threemacs.com/ http://www.macwindows.com

You will of course need to have suitable software on the PC to make use of the files you transfer. Before you make the transfer, you may want to translate the files into types the PC can deal with, based on the software you have for the PC. You should also put the appropriate 3-character file extensions on the file names, so that the PC can recognize them.

Mac application programs will not run on the PC, so there is no point in transferring application programs from one to the other. However, you can often purchase PC versions of Mac programs.
